Junior Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Burbank, USA (Remote work from within the US possible)

Our film scanners are recognized worldwide as reference products and have been involved in countless projects.
Products such as the Scanity HDR, Spirit 4K or the Spirit DataCine have revolutionized the film industry from the ground up several times. These products have always ensured that workflows could deliver higher quality or processes became significantly more efficient. 
DFT is headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, with offices in London (UK), Los Angeles (US) and Chennai (India) and a large international partner network. 

Job description

• work in the sales department for an international manufacturer of film scanning equipment
• focus on customer within the US market: post-production, film archives, content owner, industry customers
• business development: acquire new sales leads, identify sales potentials
• conduct product presentations and customer meetings – remotely and F2F
• participate in exhibitions and trade shows (i. e. NAB Las Vegas) and represent DFT in the US market
• travel within USA (Travel share typical 15-25%); travel to Germany for trainings and meetings
• work closely with sales department in Darmstadt, Germany
• Build strong customer relationships by acting as the face to the customer

Qualifications

• You are familiar with motion picture film, and you have already gained experience dealing with this medium
• You understand the US landscape of film archives, you know how to speak to archives, and you understand their daily business and requirements
• You enjoy talking to people and you enjoy familiarizing yourself with new topics
• You have a basic understanding of IT technologies, storage systems and technology used in modern IT infrastructures today
• You like traveling and experience communicating with individuals of diverse demographics
• You are a self-starter, team-player and you are eager to learn
• You are energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
• This position is aimed at a person who is familiar with the film sector and would like to develop him-/herself into new tasks in the field of sales
