Film Shrinkage
Virtually any shrinkage can be accommodated and scanned without modification or switching. The roller gate concept and the optical detection of the perforation holes allow Scanity to scan practically any grade of shrinkage in vertical direction. In horizontal direction the limit is around 5%, which is far more than what a real film usually can be shrunken by. Also the shrinkage of the film is measured during scanning and a permanently updated display informs the user about the actual value of shrinkage.
