November 14th-17th 2023, Tulsa - Oklahoma

DFT participated at the 2023 AMIA conference on Nov. 14th – 17th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. DFT attended as a sponsor, as an exhibitor and presented a technical paper on ‘Resolution of 35mm Motion Picture Film in 4K, Super 4K and 8K’. As one of the largest international associations of professional media archivists, the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) brings together a broad range of experts. Members represent corporate and national archives, media companies, libraries, historical societies, labs, postproduction, universities, and more.

Together with our sister company Prasad North America, DFT presented remote live demos with the new DFT POLAR HQ native 8K film scanner, where the scanner was located in the demo suite in Darmstadt, Germany and the customer was in front of a large size 8K screen at the conference in Tulsa, US. DFT also had many good discussions with customers, partners and other interested conference participants, in particular about the new DFT POLAR HQ scanner but also about mass digitization projects that numerous DFT customers are currently implementing and carrying out.
