Working at DFT
Conservation of world film heritage and high-quality postproduction of film requires the very best possible means for digitization. DFT has been leading the development and delivery of these high-end film scanners for decades. Our film scanners are multiple award-winning solutions having achieved international accolades by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ("Oscar") or the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences ("Emmy").
DFT's Scanity HDR is the gold standard for high-quality film scanning at
well-known film studios, such as Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures or
Universal Studios, as
well as major film archives like Bundesarchiv in Germany, and Library of
Congress in the USA.
With the recent OXScan 14K development, DFT has introduced a first to market scanner
for digitization in native 8K, up to 14K resolution at never seen before speeds.
Film archives are of great historical
importance and require long-term preservation for future generations. DFT’s
specialist solutions for film archives and film restoration enable the safe and
gentle handling of badly damaged, sensitive and fragile film, enabling users to
scan, save and restore films for future generations. We provide archives with the
best possible means for conserving our mutual cultural film heritage.
