We are looking for a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to help design, develop and continuously improve our advanced film scanning systems.

In this role, you will work across multiple disciplines and technologies, contributing to the overall system architecture and helping transform innovative ideas into reliable products. From concept development through implementation and continuous optimization, you will play a key role in driving technological innovation and ensuring the long-term quality of our solutions. Key ​Responsibilities

• Developing, evaluating and implementing innovative system concepts for high-performance film scanners, from initial concept through to series production
• Defining and optimizing system architectures across mechatronics, sensor technology, optics and illumination, control systems, real-time applications, high-performance camera systens, and workstation environments (Linux, Nvidia GPU)
• Creating innovative and practical solutions by combining application requirements with a deep understanding of technical constraints and opportunities
• Driving technical excellence by balancing performance, quality, reliability and real-world usability
• Growing into a future System Architect role with expanded technical responsibility and the opportunity to lead interdisciplinary development teams
  

Your Qualifications

• University degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent qualifications
• Several years of professional experience in the development and commissioning of complex technical systems, ideally with expertise in optics, illumination, image processing, or precision mechanics
• Broad technological understanding and the ability to integrate different engineering disciplines and design their interactions
• Strong goal- and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on feasibility, quality, and technical excellence
• Hands-on mentality with experience collaborating closely with hardware and software development teams
• High degree of autonomy, reliability, and initiative
• Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration -especially with regards to growing into a System Architect role
• German Language, minimum C1 level, both written and spoken
• English language, minimum B2 level, both written and spoken
