Doogie Howser, M.D. is an American medical sitcom that aired on ABC from September 19, 1989, to March 24, 1993. The show follows the life of Dr. Douglas "Doogie" Howser, portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris, a teenage prodigy who becomes a licensed physician at the age of 14. The series consists of four seasons and a total of 97 episodes.
Doogie Howser's character is remarkable not only for his medical prowess but also for his youthful struggles. After surviving leukemia as a child, he is inspired to pursue medicine. The show juxtaposes his responsibilities as a doctor with typical teenage issues, such as relationships and social acceptance. Each episode often concludes with Doogie reflecting on his experiences by typing in his personal computer diary, providing viewers with insights into his thoughts and lessons learned.
Fotokem used Scanity HDR in a "Scan Once" mode for this restoration project, a film scanner such as Scanity HDR combines high-speed scanning with a high-quality output and helps enhance preservation efforts while minimizing damage to original materials.
