  • The image can be over scanned by up to 25% higher and contains partly content of the previous and the next frame.
  • This allows the user to correct for inaccurately spliced films facilitating correction later on in post production.
  • Unlike with optical zoom, the Scanity DPX files contain more lines and more pixels as a consequence of over scanning and this allows the selected image area in full 4K resolution to maintain the dots-per-inch resolution (always 6 micron pitch film related) in 1:1 sizing mode.
