Warping and Buckling

The film embraces the Gate Rollers for about 8 frames on 35mm 4-Perf and about 12 frames on 16mm.
Only the edges of the film are in contact with the Gate Rollers at any time.
The embracing process reduces the buckling of the film and together with the appropriate film tension, which adapts automatically to different film formats, warping and bending in the film gate is further flattened out and minimized.
